If you like different experiences and a journey takes you along the West Istrian coast, halfway between Poreč and Vrsar, stop by Polidor. This award-winning family camping resort offers a concept that stands out from the usual camping site.
From the fabulous pool area and the smell of fresh, homemade bread in the morning to luxury bungalows and hot tubs in private yards, Polidor developed a unique, high-end service. The resort is perfect for people who love to spend their vacation in nature but want to enjoy hotel-standard service and higher levels of comfort.
For several consecutive years, Polidor was shortlisted among the best camping resorts in Europe. The latest one from 2023, the prestigious Camping.info Award, named Polidor the No.1 family camp in Croatia, according to 150.000 campers.
However, its previous visual identity was not communicating this specific value – a challenge perfect for Zambelli Brand Design. Here’s how we approached the rebranding of Polidor.
We took the fact that this campsite is the only one in Istria offering year-round accommodation, becoming a desirable destination for people escaping harsh winters, and turned it into an iconography. We used swallows, symbolising winter migrations to a milder climate and the feeling of freedom.
Furthermore, the new logotype includes swallow birds combined with other elements of water and nature into a coat of arms, signifying the impact this campsite achieved on the camping market.
We used shades of green as the primary colour in the palette, connecting the visual identity with nature, a feeling of calm and relaxation. Adding light-brown tones and rattan-inspired textures highlighted that natural feel.
The new brand visual for Polidor was complemented with a verbal identity and a slogan that encapsulates the desired feeling in the resort:
The luxury of freedom.
Today, taking some downtime in natural surroundings and getting away from the business of daily life is a luxury on its own. Polidor turned that growing need into a memorable experience.
We are pleased to see our branding implemented in the resort, sending the right message to its new guests about the experiences they can expect at Polidor.
